Leverage the Power of Intention to Fill Your Practice

by Ann Strong,  Instigator of the Thriving Coaches Revolution

As a species, we so under-utilize the power of intention to create what we want in our work and in our lives. As coaches, our job description calls us to use our own best tools!

So, go ahead, look at your day today or the week ahead. Do you feel nervous about clarifying something with a potential client? Have you been avoiding choosing a niche? Do you dread a marketing task? Would you like to invite a particular person to hire you? Pick one. Then, write a one-sentence intention for your ideal outcome.

Here are some examples. I enjoy an easy, clear and connected conversation with this potential client. I now move beyond my own resistance, pick a niche and commit to it for 18 months. I am open to finding value in the marketing task. I graciously and confidently reach out and invite Jody to hire me.

Give yourself the huge gift of setting an intention for what you want, rather than begrudgingly accepting what you fear as a foregone conclusion. Allow yourself the astonishment and joy of actively, easily and consistently co-creating richer, more meaningful and more profitable interactions!
